WELL-DESERVED BONUSES FOR OKLAHOMA TEACHERS

Recently, an Oklahoma school district rewarded its teachers and staff with bonuses to the tune of $1000 in appreciation for their hard work and dedication to educating the young people of Glenpool, OK. The gesture was spurred on by the possibility of teachers walking out due to pay and administrative concerns. The bonuses were a welcome relief and when Superintendent Jerry Olansen surprised the hardworking faculty and staff, they erupted into applause. The school district, like many, has been cutting costs for four years and chose to put the money towards those that help students strive for excellence every day.
