How do we inform the public about our K-12 public school issues?
Recently, I had an idea to develop material from my latest book, “US Education Is in Trouble, Let’s Fix It! 22 Reform Proposals“, and publish the information in the major paper in Indianapolis, the Indy STAR. I am providing the information from my book in smaller, more concise essays, in an attempt to mold public opinion and bring awareness to the crisis in our education system.
I want to thank several people; David Baker, my Gannett contact, for working with me on these 12 half-page paid insertions in the STAR. Mr. Al Luke, board member of Elevate Schools, who helped craft and edit the essays. Ms. Jackie Horsfall, a Gannett journalist, refined them with concise text and an open format. Each essay was approved by Gannett Legal, ensuring they were protected, securing the text in a boxed area with Paid Content and Paid By to protect the paper from legal issues.
The 12 essays were published September 9 through September 20, 2024, in the Indy Star. Please enjoy each of these succinct, information-packed essays. Dr. Richard W. Garrett
